About the Film
7 SHARP is a film that poses timely questions about how families deal with secrets. Every family has one, but what if families decided to disrupt the pattern and began to break the status quo of what family business really looks like?
The film revolves around a very ordinary family of three generations: Gammy, Charlene and Kiki. They seem to be living a very ordinary life, facing struggles like most black families you find in Anytown, USA— until you take a closer look.

7 SHARP channels rebellion, reverence and a look into how the black experience sometimes deals with secrets and trauma. The indie film explores faith, iniquity, redemption and exposes the cycle of generational curses. It also explores what breaking them, though sometimes unorthodox, may look like.

We also tap into a universal theme that has brought historical trauma to black women (actually, all women) and how the perspective of different vantage points affect the cycle.
